5 Little Ducks…!
Reception Class welcomed 5 new additions to their class last week!
The children watched 5 ducklings hatch from their egg’s and have been caring for them in the classroom.
The children help to change the duckling’s food and water and have loved watching, holding and caring for them.
The ducklings have even had regular swimming sessions!
“It’s trying to break the egg” – Luis
“I think I’m going to cry!” – Sophie
They are not chicks they are ducks.”- Zak
One of the children will be keeping the duckling on her farm so we look forward to regular pictures and updates!
World Book Day 2022
The children came to school dressed in their pyjamas and brought their favourite book from home to celebrate World Book Day.
It was lovely to see the children so excited to share their favourite stories with their friends this morning. We discussed main characters, setting and key events and have been reading some of the stories throughout the morning.
We also became authors and wrote our own stories! They all had fantastic and imaginative ideas.
NSPCC Rocks Number Day
As part of our commitment to make maths exciting and high profile in our school, we took part NSPCC Number Day. The children were allowed to dress up as a pop or rock star, and completed fun number-based activities.
The whole school raised £260 for the NSPCC!
